Our Story

It all began with a single stone.

In 1986, our founder, Larry Morris, was wandering a weekend market in Mexico when he came across a simple salt rock. The vendor claimed it could eliminate even the toughest body odor. Larry—who openly admitted he was sweatier than most—decided to take it home and try it.

Back in the Arizona heat, he put the stone to work. One week later, his body odor was almost completely gone. After years of trying mainstream deodorants and antiperspirants that never fully delivered, this unassuming mineral simply worked.

Curious and determined, Larry researched the stone’s origins and soon launched Deodorant Stones of America (DSA). After a few memorable trips hauling stones across the US–Mexico border, he followed the source to Thailand, inspiring the “Thai” name still found on our labels today.

Since then, DSA has stayed committed to doing things the right way. We make natural deodorant products that are safe, reliable, and thoughtfully crafted. Today, we’re proud to be America’s leading manufacturer of natural deodorant stones, sticks, sprays, roll-ons, and powders.

Growing Beyond Deodorant

By the late 2000s, we knew our mission didn’t end with odor control. Natural self-care is a bigger journey.

In 2012, we introduced Ayaté, our handcrafted agave fiber washcloths and bath accessories. And while we’re proud of what we’ve built, we’re even more excited for what’s ahead.

Today, DSA products serve millions of people across all 50 states and more than 30 countries.
